Formed in 1853 by the merger of T. R. Cobb & Son of Banbury; Bartlett, Parrott & Co. of Buckingham, and Cobb, Wheatley & Co. of Aylesbury and Thame. Branches opened at Watford (1856), Hemel Hempstead (1856), Watlington (1885), Chesham (1889), Wolverton (1892), Wealdstone (1895), Great Missenden (1895) and Watford (1898). Taken over by Lloyds Bank in 1902.
